The Holiday Season...
of this time of year?
If you will share at least one memory then we will have a give away...the last day for entries is Monday next. Since it is the holiday season how about a credit at The Scented Cottage for $25.00. That way you can pick out your own gift!
My wish for you: May you get what you want and want what you get.

One of my favorite Christmas memories is when Santa REALLY came to visit us at our house when I was a young girl. We heard jingle bells, and then there he was, right in our own living room!! Never saw or heard a car, not sure how he pulled that one off!
:)
My very favorite Christmas memories are of those earliest morning moments after Santa had brought our presents. Our parents couldn't get up and we couldn't go back to sleep... my sister and I would tip-toe down the hall, peek at the pile of presents, nose into our stockings, go back to bed, get up and peek again.... The anticipation was the best.
Such fun... and now I am going to look up a recipe for wassail, which I tink is what you described -- spiced mulled tea...

I love the aroma of Christmas cake baking in the oven ~ a little early for Christmas as I made mine in September, but it is a lovely prelude for the festivities to come.

My favorite Christmas memory is of the Christmases when my nieces and grandson were little. They would barely make it through Christmas Eve dinner and be higher than kites waiting to open presents. A former boyfriend said it reminded him of an Ingmar Bergman movie where all sorts of little blonde people were running though the scenes. Little kids and Christmas - a winning combination.
I'm so happy Wynona and your hubby are better.
One of my fondest Christmas memories is going to my Gram's. She would have the new Sears catalog with all the Christmas toys in it waiting for me on the kitchen table. We would go through it together while we waited for the cookies to finish baking. We would sit at her kitchen table, drinking little bottles of Coca cola and nibbling cookie batter.
My other favorite memory is sitting in front of Gram's old aluminum pom Christmas tree. We would all sit in a semi circle around it and watch the colors change as the color wheel went round and round. I guess we were easily amused at that age. :)
Merry Christmas!
but I do have a happy memory...
It would be dressing up as Mrs Santa. My niece still calls me SandiHoHo.
Merry Christmas blessings,
