Count Down to Christmas...
I can't imagine a celebration without my Aunties spiced tea...and here is the recipe that will serve 20 :
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
In large container put juice of 3 large lemons, 3 large oranges, 1 cup pineapple juice (optional)
Dissolve 3 cups sugar in 2 quarts boiling water and pour over fruit juice
Take 1 tsp cloves, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp cinnamon, tie spices in cloth and place in 1 quart boiling water , boil 5 to 10 minutes.
In 1 quart boiling water put 1/2 cup tea and steep 5 minutes.
Mix all together, cool and refrigerate over night. Heat to serve....my Auntie always served it in punch cups which made it seem even more special.

Oh this is sooo good when there is a chill in the air...and it seems to taste better the second day.......if it lasts that long !
The days are flying by and soon we will get a chance to share the joy of our savior's birth with family and friends. I can not imagine life now without His mercy and grace.
My wish for you: May you and your loved ones enjoy the blessings and joy of the holidays.

Lori, I use the family size tea bags for mine...I don't suggest using a flavored tea because this recipe makes a wonderful fruity/spicy tea as it is. BUT you can substitute frozen juice for the fresh squeezed...
