AADD...or "Oh yes, I need to finish this....."
Happy Monday ! I hope your week is starting off easily and happily. Mine is starting as usual, lots to do, lots left hangin' and I'm turning in circles LOL. Ya'll know that I usually have a number of things running at once etc. and are probably wondering what do beach items and a beautiful pink bracelet have in common. Ah well...I was trying to make a dent in one of my craft tables, move some boxes around trying to find some special ribbon I had imprinted two years ago so I could finally use it and I found a little package I had apparently set down before I opened it and got caught up in other things. That beautiful bracelet was a gift from my friend the very talented Vallen Queen. Her blog is Queenly Things just click on that or link is on the right... and oh my! She makes the most fabulous things. She'll have some bracelets up soon. I know you'll want to check out her blog because she is not only very creative she is very funny too.
This coming Friday many members of Make Mine Pink will put up special Beach Cottage items for Pink Friday. That's why the photos of the Sandpiper etc. I don't want to forget that!
Now about the AADD...several years ago my GRANDbaby was tested to see if he had ADD. Turns out mild case, he is just extremely intelligent (3rd grade reading at college level) but this is not a GRANDbaby brag...see how easily I get distracted? LOL
Nope this is just to say that when he got tested so did I and guess what, I really do have AADD. When I was a child it was an unknown...just like a number of things diagnosed today were. I learned to cope, or thought I had. Think you might have AADD? Here is an excellent site to do some reading and get some information from.
AADD
I used to beat myself up constantly for not being able to complete a task etc. but once I understood I am much less hard on myself. I do have to constantly remind myself to "focus, focus, focus" and have to make myself go back and finish things. Take a look at that web site and see if you or anyone you know might just have ADD. You might be surprised at what some of the signs are.
My wish for you: May you live your life with joy and delight because we are all "fearfully wonderfully made".

I have read alot about ADD because we thought my son had that. Turned out to be something else but on the upside, the creative juices seem to flow. Lovely items you photoed.

Boy do I ever understand doing so many things at one time! That's me alright! I start on one thing and next thing I know I'm on another project. I love keeping busy. But I look at it as a blessing. I rather be creative than not. I just looove your beach items! That bracelet looks like so much fun. I love adding buttons and things to make it look pretty. And that sure does. I also looove that seashell display. How pretty! You amaze me Francie!
Loved your Show and Tell!

I have so many projects started and just waiting to be finished. Something always comes up and I don't always get to it. I have a nephew with ADD and I know it can be difficult sometimes, but I have found some of the most creative people have ADD/AADD. I wish you all the best!
