Waitin' for Spring

Well after my cold and snowy trip to Pennsylvania I thought I would share a few of the spring/summer wreaths I made. My favorite is the Wisteria. I love Wisteria...not only do I love the color but it just screams romantic to me. I love driving the back roads when it's blooming because there are places where it is as prolific as kudzu. Can you imagine that some people think of it as a weed and want to get rid of it? The wisteria that is, we all feel that way about the kudzu.
What is your favorite flower? Leave a comment and who knows? We just might have ourselves a little give away. I'm just sayin'.............
My wish for you: If you can't have a garden full may you have at least one vase of your favorite flower to make you smile.

Hi Francie,
Thank you for dropping by Cackleberry Cottage. I love so many kinds of flowers that it is hard to pick a favorite. I am partial to lavender flowers! I love the wisteria, too. I have wisteria stenciled around my bathroom. Here in Texas, it is recommended that we plant the native wisteria and not the Chinese because it is the invasive one. We also have an invasive honeysuckle. It does smell wonderful though.

Hi Sweet Cheeks! Your wreaths are amazing!! God I love wreaths, I haven't made them in years. I'm with you, I adore wisteria!! I have the most gorgeous wisteria covering my pergola, and every spring I pray the frost won't zap the buds before they can bloom, such beautiful purple & white, ahhh..My other favs are Cabbage Roses, Peonies and Hydrangeas because of their large blooms...love them!!
By the way, I think it would be crazy fun to be with you and Cathy at the market! Oh what fun we'd have~ We're going to have to do it next year!

My favourite is the wild flower Forget-me-not, so delicate, I did manage to get some for my wedding bouquet 35 years ago but it was artificial.

Hi Francie, I love your new wreaths. I love wisteria too. I must admire it from photos though. Very little in the was of flowers and vines grow here in the desert. But roses do sooo well. I love roses, but my favorite flowers are sweetpeas. I hope you have a beautiful and early spring...

I cannot imagine cutting away any wisteria even if it was creeping in my window. I love it too. The neighbors have it dripping from their front arbor.

Francie, your wreaths are so lovely and I'm with you about wisteria -- it's so dramatic and romantic. I have trouble picking a favorite -- it looks a little like this: "Wisteria, no lilac, no honeysuckle, wait, vibirnum. Never mind, I'll just take the whole garden." Except the kudzu -- I'll leave the cudzu in the woods.

The wreaths are a promise of spring. Being here in the snowy Northeast, It feel far away yet.
My favorite flower is the lilac. I have one right out my living room window and when the window is open, the whole house fills with the fragrance - heaven!

I love Gardenias for the smell, & Wisteria for the romantic appearance.
Also yellow & pink roses. Man, it's hard to decide!

Hey Francie, Some folks out here in the country have the wisteria growing up in the trees. I can't grow it to save my soul. I love it when the "purple" trees bloom. That kudzu seems to grow a foot over night. I didn't know that so many products were made from kudzu.
