Remembering, reflecting, resolving....

This blog was created as an adjunct to my web site, to share creations, bits of my life, to meet other creative people and just to have a good time.  I try not to espouse my political or religious views.  I don't feel that this is the proper forum for posts exclusively with those thoughts or opinions.

This is one of the few exceptions because we have, along with the rest of America, been reflecting this past week on the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We have been remembering those whose lives were taken, those who gave their lives to save others, those who came to the rescue.

We will be praying for the families who were devastated by the attacks, those who rescued and dealt with the aftermath, for our enemies, the president and our country.

We have resolved not to live in fear or intimidation but to live to the fullest the best life we can, appreciate and love our family and to be grateful that we live in the USA.

And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. Ezekiel 34:28.

Usually I link with Beverly for Pink Saturday , you can visit to see some other reflections on 9/11 and some wonderful pink.        Thank you for visiting and I hope you will return next week ... I really appreciate you (())

Well said Francie,
I am grateful to be back in Canada after 9/11. We do live in a safe country.

Francie, this has been such a sad few days, reliving it all over again, we do need a reminder, because so many lives were altered, we have gone on with our lives, but so many people live with their loses everyday. Never to be forgotten!

From Mary T: This was posted by a friend on my facebook page this morning. I think it says it all about remembering today 10 yrs ago.
Like my parents and grandparents that remembered where they were and what they were doing on Dec 7, 1941, I guess our generation will always remember 9/11/2001 the same way.....Mary

"For the husband who told his wife I love you one last time before his plane went down in a field, for the wife who stopped in the stairs to call her husband to say I will love you forever, for the mothers and fathers who kissed their kids goodbye the morning they died, for the policemen who rushed in with the firemen to help get others out only to die themselves, for the soldiers who fought back and lost their lives. Today, tomorrow, ten years from now, we will remember....."
Thank you for your heart felt post and the one from Mary T.
To be honest, I was a bit shocked that so many said nothing today. I had a much longer post, but went and shortened it. We must never forget this nor forget who did it...I was shocked there was no religious service in NY. What in the world is Bloomberg thinking?

Beautifully said Francie. My son was flying today and I held my breath 'til he arrived safely. So sad that we have to think this way now because of some misguided souls. xoxo
I passed the info about the firemen and police men not being invited to the ceremony because there wasn't enough room on..on my fb page. That upset me too!
