White Wednesday....

Wynona showing her white belly

For some time I have visited and loved  White
Wednesdays   visit here.      But my life is full of color and I didn't think I had much to share.   Until I started looking around...and my goodness I actually DO have a lot of white.  Today I'm going to share a bit of the work we've been doing around this old cottage....we have cats and we have a screened in porch but the cats have a tendency to get right up to the screen door and Wynona has managed to get out once or twice.  so I decided we needed a "kitty lock".  an entry into our front porch entry ... and last week we proceeded to create it.    First we built a frame and then added lattice panels and a screen door.  To the right you can see the screen door we added.    You can see that Wynona was not impressed and not very happy either. One of her favorite things is to lay right next to the door just in case she can surprise someone and make a run for it.

First we painted the wood and lattice.  Then we built a frame.
Looking from inside the porch you can see the old screen door and the new one.
Wynona looking at me as if to say "are you REALLY going to do this?"

I said "yup" and she went back inside in disgust.

Now we have a new entry onto our front porch and no more escaping kittys! We still have a LOT of work to do on the porch but this was a good start.I am so happy to join White Wednesday and thank you for stopping by , I hope you will come back . (())

Precious kitty!! Our cat, Muffin, has absolutely NO desire to escape. We can leave the back door open and he just "peeks" out!!

Just noticed that you have the 20th down as my Wedding Blog Party ~ it is actually the 10th ~ just don't want you to come late and have missed it!!

LOL...she does look like she is saying exactly that! too funny Francie. You two really are working away on the house. I think ours will never end. They started the dry walling work this morning. What I thought would be maybe a week's worth of work is not! whaaaaa! Happy White Wednesday. xo
I think she is saying "Are you kidding me!!"" She is so lucky she has a porch to go to, my poor babies are stuck in town!

I love white lattice! And this is a very creative solution. Turns out it can be hard staying smarter than a cat! haha! Happy WW!

Your kitty is so beautiful! I am a new cat owner so I now pay special notice to them when I see photos! Love the idea of a kitty porch! Might have to borrow that when I move! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. xo Molly
Wonderful Whites BUT I must confess my VERY VERY Favorite whites were Wynona's pretty white belly and her Sweet White Feet!
