Monday Show and Tell....

For this Mondays Show and Tell I'm taking you on a walk down memory lane with me...while digging through boxes I came across some things I made years and years ago. Okay, years and years and years ago...it was the nineties when craft shows were booming and sales were not good but great! I had gotten a lot of buttons from my Big Mama and was making button pins and pin and earring sets. I had commissions to do certain styles and colors and loved putting them together. I also put together some Victorian style necklace and earring sets with brass charms. And birdhouses...I made, painted and sold a lot of birdhouses but my favorite were these mini's that I would paint and "plant" in little terra cotta pots.

Florals were big then too...especially eucalyptus swags and wreaths. Tea cup florals, topiaries oh my I loved it ! I made Christmas ornaments, painted, made pottery and sewed. There wasn't much that I didn't try back then.

What are some of the things you have made or dabbled in? Did you finally settle on just one thing? Leave a comment and I'll put you in a drawing for .....drumroll please......one of my button pins...HEY they are VINTAGE now :lol

My wish for you: May you always have things you love to do and do the things you love.

I love all of your treasures. Like you I did a little of everything. I did porcelin dolls, cloth dolls, mohair teddy bears, sewing. I guess I have mostly settled on the jewelry making... but I do love to sew still. Happy creating,,gail

Thank you for your lovely wish. I am so fortunate and blessed that I most always love what I do and do what I love! I have dabbled mostly with fiberarts. Sewing, crocheting, weaving. Do paint some in the one stroke method, but don't like being one in a crowd, lol. Love you craftiness, girlfriend! Have a great week

Francie, These are so cute! I love your story. Let's see, I love crocheting. I've done Tole, Decoupage, sewing, pot holders. Lots of things that had to do with fiber. I was always glueing something on my clothes.

Huggers, Nancy
I like you dabbled in many forms of art but my favorite is working with flowers. Whether it be drawing with colored pencils and caulk or silk arrangements and embellishments. I have a good supply of both!

Francie,
Cute! The birdhouses are a serious flashback. I remember doing craft shows with my stuff and all of the vendors with country birdhouses and wood stuff would sell out

Francie,
I remember doing craft shows with my Mom in the 80's and 90's. Business really was booming then. I have such fond memories. What great items to find, we had the biggest birdhouse collection. I don't know why we got rid of them! They would be great to have now.
hugs,

Hi Francie,
Wow! I do remember doing shows. What fun and the money was good back then. I did decorative painting and a lot of other things. I think I got rid of all my loot. I love the button Chicken!!! Thanks for the memories.

Ahh yes, the craft shows. I still go to some of the big ones and I'm actually doing a "Holiday Show." I remember the birdhouse era. I had tons of them!! I've tried every craft. My painting stinks, my flower arranging too. I'm a quilter at heart and that's what I must do. (like that little ditty?) :)
Hugs and thanks so much for the sign!!!! I still can't believe I won!!!
