It's Friday...time for Pink Saturday !

Happy Friday and Happy Pink Saturday !  Linking with  Beverly's Pink Saturday ... if you go by you will find links to plenty of pretty pink!

Showing pinks from some of my family treasures.  No silver, gold or precious gems but a Whitman's candy box from 1951 saved by my little mother. It was precious to her so it is precious to me. Hard to believe this box is sixty years old!
Many of us have these pin cushions, this was my Auntie's so it is special and stays on my dresser. I usually have some pretty pins on it. The colors are my favorite and that it was made by her hand makes it a treasure.
A quilt top...belonged to one of my auntie's, I love the colors.  Someday I will get it quilted...... I hope.

STILL TIME to sign up for the tea cup candle give away...see Tea Cup Candle post 3 down!  You can leave a comment here to enter,( follow by clicking on the Follow button on the right I always try to reciprocate).

Looking forward to seeing your pink treasures. Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your sweet comments.  I appreciate them and really appreciate your follow too.  Until next time, you bee sweet and ya'll come back soon!  (())

Hi Francie, your pink treasures from your mom and your aunts makes me smile. The Whitman's box is gorgeous. No wonder she saved it. Love the pin cushion and the quilt. You should have it quilted on a machine. I did mine and it is gorgeous. Worth every penny I paid. Actually it was $100. I would pay it again.

Happy Pink Saturday.
Hugs, Jeanne

I love the tradition of saving Whitman's boxes. I've always saved mine for buttons or special items from whatever baby I've had that year! My mom saved them too for the same purpose. Recently, we were going through my grandmother's things and found that she'd saved sewing notions in them as well! It's neat to see someone else values them too!

The pink Whitmans Choclate Box is the cutest, I've never seen one like that. I do have a pink crocheted heart tho.

Your pinks are wonderful. Those Whitman samplers were my favorites growing up. This way I didn't have to squish the chocolates to see my favorites.

Just lovely! Unfortunately I no longer have my grandmother's crochet pieces (we moved house several times, and I know we lost a few boxes along the way) but I certainly remember that wonderful pineapple filet crochet! Thanks so much for sharing - and for visiting and lwaving a comment.

My favorite is the Whitman's sampler vintage box. That's wonderful! My grandfather always gave us a Whitman's sampler for our birthday. When I see the boxes, I always think of him.
