Show and Tell Monday....how'd it get here so fast?

Oh my, seems like yesterday it was show and tell...of course it was Tuesday before I got my Monday pictures up. But here it is Monday and I do have some to share! I mentioned I was

making some faux cakes for two of my friends and here is the start. Well, the chocolate cake slice I have to confess was made several years ago. They won't get chocolate cake unless they want it...otherwise it will be white, pink, hopefully some lovely pale aqua and maybe a sweet pastel yellow for some of the petit fours.
I am winging this so even I don't know yet. What I have so far are some small iced hearts and some square petit fours. Oh, and the first polymer clay roses I've ever made. I think I'll get better as I go along...I hope so anyway :) I plan on making a lot of the roses. I hope I'll have them finished by next Monday and will share some more photos then.
Oh, and just so my friends aren't too disappointed I'll be sending them some faux tarts and cookies that I did NOT make.

Now I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to. My wish for you: May your cake be delicious on your lips and the calories slide right off your hips !

Fancie I can't believe those are all faux, they look so real. Your roses look pretty darn good for your first.

C'est magnifique, Francie! I second that those first time roses are wonderful. Does it make you hungry to work on those?

Amazing! Yours look as good, better even, as anything store bought that I've seen.
