How Did Monday Get Here So Fast?????

As usual it has rolled around way to quickly and left me in the dust! Have been trying to strip off the wallpaper backing from my entry and hall. Sigh. It was pasted right to the wallboard which means it comes off and so does a lot of the top layer of the wall board. This is NOT a good thing. Going to try a steamer today and see if that will work better than the spray with water and pick at it method I've been using. So, to anyone reading who may not know, do NOT , please do NOT paste wall paper directly onto new wall board. Always prime and paint first. That way you don't have a nightmare trying to remove the wall paper when it's time for a change.

On a brighter note, while working on said project, sweet scents kept wafting over me (electric melter filled with Slices and Spices™ mmm mmmmmm) and the sweet sound of the birds singin' and calling out made me stop and appreciate my cottage home, even if it is a lot of work.

At the Scented Cottage, tomorrow is Tuesdays Treasures and the theme is "Home Sweet Home" which is, of course, the theme of the Scented Cottage. We hope you will consider an electric wax melter and our wax melts, a safe and convenient way to have your home smelling like home "sweet" home. AND since we are having an unprecedented "Just for You" sale the cost is very sweeeeeeeeeeet.

My wish for you:
May your home always be home "sweet" home.

I hate removing wallpaper. I did it ONCE. :)

I am having a hard time realizing that October is almost half over!

Francie maybe we need to have a wallpaper stripping party! I have 2 huge rooms that I have got to do. The dining room actually has at least 2 layers of paper that we can see behind the switch cover plate- may be more!! I think I will wait to tackle mine till after the holidays are over though it would be wonderful to have it done for Christmas.

Hi Francie....thank you for visiting my blog today. :) I hope the steamer does the trick for you. Anyone who hasn't tried your wax melts is really missing out...especially the Slices and Spices scent!

Hi Sweet Pea,

It's so good to chat with you as always. Time flys doesn't it. I can't believe it has been a year since we have seen each other!

I'm off today to my Glitz and Glam station. I'm in the mood to make a "Sweet Tooth" wreath. I need my candy fix.

Have a wonderful weekend.
