Wedding Day Blues

It will soon be wedding bells for the son of one of my dearest friends.  She asked if I would make her a cuff bracelet using vintage bling in shades of blue.

For her I would do almost anything but the difficulties of adding bling to a cuff had me thinkin'.  I was concerned that moving a solid cuff to get it on and off the wrist might pop off some of the elements.
When I found this cuff that opened and closed with a spring AND reminded me of a trellis I was pretty certain it would be workable.

Blue isn't one of my top colors so I had to use some newer elements. The base pieces and the butterfly are newer.   I used three vintage pins, one I took apart to  use the pieces and used one on each side.  The other bits are vintage earrings.
Started laying on the base to the sides of the cuff.

Layered elements on top of the base.
Side view with large butterfly.  I wanted the butterfly to go over the edge of the bracelet just a bit.

and this is how it looks on my wrist. gee I kinda like it .... sure hope she does.

Visiting with Ivy and Elephants and LOVE what they did with a gumball machine! Ya'll need to go visit and see all the pretties.

Thank you for your visit and your sweet comments. I appreciate them, always try to return them as well as follows.
Until next time, ya'll bee sweet (())

Francie, this is AMAZING!!! I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but as you built up each layer my eyes began to pop! It is gorgeous, just perfect for the something blue of a wedding. Fabulous! I'll never doubt you again! LOL

I can't imagine her not liking this piece Francie....it's gorgeous. My d-i-l loves big jewelry like that. Do you do commissioned work? I haven't started making those bracelets we saw yet. I need to get busy! xo

Don't know if you'll see this or you are still having power issues but just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about the mess the tree made on the 4th! We lost a beautiful pear tree on the street, but it didn't blow down, it was literally RAINED down. Ugh.

Anyway, I hope you have the mess cleaned up and can get everything fixed.

That is so gorgeous! I wish I could wear jewelry but with being a hairdresser it gets caught.
