Happy Mother's Day

There are many women I owe thank-you's to, many women who influenced me and encouraged me to be the best person
that I possibly could and to do the best I could under whatever
circumstances I found myself in. I'm so very grateful to them.
My little mother did not always find herself in the best of circumstances but she was always gracious, generous and above all always a lady. I miss her very much. For those of you who don't have your mothers with you, I hope you do have some wonderful memories to reflect on and a family of your own that will celebrate you. To those who do have your mothers to celebrate I hope you will give them one extra hug and one extra kiss on the one day we actually stop and think about how much they mean to us.
My wish for you is that you will treasure this Mother's Day and have people you love around you to share it with.

Francie, your mother is beautiful. She puts me in mind of Julia Roberts/Ava Gardner. This year, which may be my own mother's last, not quite sure what to think. From minute to minute she's aware and then not. When we were growing up she took us everywhere!!! She took us to every museum, park, play, opera, circus, ballet, fair, zoo, event within a 50 mile radius. I was soooo lucky. Here's wishing you the lovliest of a Mother's Day with the people who love you most.

Yes, Francie, your mother is delicate and gorgeous. I can see that she would always be gracious and lady-like. As I've gotten older, I've been able to forgive many of what I considered my mom's faults. Now, I focus on the idyllicly happy childhood I enjoyed when my mother and dad were still together. I knew I was loved; they trusted my judgment; they supported when I wanted to become a dancer, an anthropologist, and finally even a writer. I was incredibly lucky.

Hope you're surrounded by loved ones on this grand day!

Your mom is just gorgeous. I do feel fortunate to have my mom with us still and we did our best to make her feel very loved and cherished.
Beautiful mom, Francie! I still have mine, so I'm very grateful for the long life she has had. I plan to keep her around for a long, long time, God-willing.
