Heroes and the Scented Cottage

Here are some

pictures of the Cottage...see how beautiful it is outside? Now those beautiful clouds have been replaced with
smoke...the wildfire that has taken over 55k acres and 19 houses
is still raging. We are so thankful that there have been no deaths
and just a few injuries. We are also thankful and grateful to the
many firefighters and volunteers who are continually battling this
monstrous fire. We have had firefighters come from Statesboro and
Savannah as well as all our neighboring communities and all we have
met and talked to have been very tired but still committed to continuing
to fight this fire. They are heroes each and every one.
My SweetiePie is getting up early to go and work on the
changing shifts and then after teaching at night back again to do the same.
It is so little to do when they are giving so very much.
Inside the cottage has been rearranged and I really need to take some new
pictures but right now I am just happy that the little Cottage house is still standing.

My wish for you is that you will always have heroes in your life when you need them.

Your Sweetie Pie sounds pretty heroic to me. Wow!! We have fires so often here in the Golden State. It is a scary thing indeed. Be safe.

Yes, yes, Your SweetiePie sounds pretty heroic to me too. We have buckets of rain ~ I'm sending a rainy rain cloud to shower down on your little cottage. And a nice slice of cake for Your SweetiePie.

Francie, I'm so glad to know you are safe, I've thought of you often these past few days as we've heard the reports from South Georgia! Stay safe, my friend.

Oh, Francie, how terrible and tragic those devastating wildfires are. In the Golden State, we always have a couple of doozies a year. And no matter how many times we go through them, they are a new kind of awful every single time.

My thoughts are with you and your Sweetie Pie.

Stay safe!

Oh God, what a hero indeed and all the other brave souls putting themselves on the frontline. I cannot imagine how terrifying that would be, and am thankful that you, at least, are spared - and your cottage. So I will be looking forward seeing to your new space, I am very interested in this after my trials!

hugs
