The hurrier I go, the behinder I get

this Amish saying sums it up for me quite well...this is such a busy time of year for all of us, especially those of us with retail shops. Time for boxing, wrapping, packing and mailing ... we always try to add a special touch to each box whether you are giving it as a gift to someone or to yourself.

Of course there is no slow down in the rest of life either...usually the opposite as we get ready for family get togethers.

Here is a quick and easy cookie recipe to help with a time crunch:

Lemon Crisp Cookies

1 pkg lemon cake mix
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1/2 cup butter
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350*. Melt butter. In bowl combine cake mix and cereal. Beat egg, add melted butter then stir into cake/cereal mix until well blended. Roll into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool one minute on cookie sheet then allow to cool completely on cooling racks.

My wish for you: May you remember to take time to love your family and friends and time for cookies and tea.

Hi Francie, I have copied your cookie recipe to make and have at my cookie party in December..easy peasy and perfect! I sure know what you mean about getting behind. I just don't have enough hours in the day to do all I want to do. xo Lynn
P.S. When I said "do tell" I didn't mean it for real. I was just teasing. xoxo
