Pinks and Green on Pink Saturday....

This Pink Saturday is about Pink and Green... I looove pink and green and lavender and green.  Lately  I've been liking pink and blue more and more ....but this is about pink and green and I'll try to stick to it :))

I am sharing my favorite glitter cakes. Is it okay to love something you made?   I just can't help it,  I love them because they are sparkly and they have roses and a butterfly and dragonfly that are sparkly too.   I think I am turning into Grandma Yetta (did you ever watch the Nanny?). I will be breakin' out the gold shoes and glitter handbag any day !
I have a number of these sweet white wire stands and love to use them too.
This is one of my favorite teacups...it reminds me of Kitty Bartholomew because it has the pinks, greens and blues she loved.  Do you remember Kitty and her show?
To visit others with lots of pretty pink  hop on over to Beverly's How Sweet the Sound
Listings start Friday after five.   Thank you Beverly for bringing us lots of pink and thank YOU for visiting  ... I always try to return the visit because I really appreciate you taking the time to visit and leave a comment and if you click to follow me I also try to follow you too... ya'lll come back soon (())

I do remember Kitty! I think I first saw her on "The Home Show" years before she had her own show. I also love LOVE the color combination of pink and green. I sure hope I have my changes made so I can post a Pink Saturday.

Also, thanks for telling me that about the brown on my blog! I had no clue it was hard to read. Wish someone had told me that sooner.
Well I know you are changing it up right now..and it's just old eyes sometimes have a difficult time with a busy or dark background and I don't want to miss ANY of your words! (())

Hi Francie!
I just love that beautiful glittery heart cake and the stand is the perfect display - am drooling over this post.
You are a hoot, with your pet names - love it!
Hugs,
Sabre
Of course it's OK to love what we make! I can see why you love that cake, oohhhhh so pretty and just the right color pink! I think that is why I blog because no one in my real life gets what I do, but blog land gets it! I do love my ruffle foot, you know Francie of all the crafts I do I don't do paper crafting, but if I did I would be ruffling crepe paper for sure!

Francie, how pretty are your glitter cakes. I would love them too! I had to laugh because I just recently started watching the Nannie on Saturday mornings while I am puttering around the kitchen and I get a great laugh, so I know who gramma Yetta is now.

I also love Kitty Bartholomew and used to watch her all the time and have one of her books. I sure miss those programs on HGTV.

Have a great day!

Oh yeah, I remember Grandma Yetta....loved the Nanny and have always loved pink and green....it's such a yuppie thing and I have been called a yuppie more than once. In fact, my license plate says Yuppie...but that was an accident. :) Running around to blogs while the paint dries. Happy PS and a happy weekend Francie.

Love the glittery cake - looks beautiful! We do watch reruns of the Nanny - Grandma Yetta used to be Mary's best friend on the Dick Van Dyke's show - we were thrilled when we learned that!
Love the teacup - the name Kitty Bartholomew rings a bell but can't put an image to it - sure it will come to me!
Happy Pink Saturday,
Kathy

How sweet is that little cake!! I too love lavender. Purple is actually my fav color! Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Pink Sat! xo
I do hope I remember to make a glitter box or egg. I hope it will be as pretty as yours. Thx for the memories. I do remember the home show. I cried everytime one person left and another one came. Lucky for us Rob Weller brought us HGTV and the affiliates. I don't remember who all participated with him, but I sure am happy they did. Kitty was one of the favorites. She and Carol Duval. Maybe we should start asking where they are now. I really did learn alot from them.
Have a great pink & green week

Such pretty pinks. Love the glittery cakes, the stand and the teacup/saucer. Aren't we lucky to have such fine husbands. Silly me, was on vac and never checked Bev's blog prior to posting for PS. But hey there was a lot of green leaves and shrubs around the pink house, lol. Thank you for stopping and leaving such a nice comment. Am always late at getting to everyone on Sat due to such a large guest list. Blessings on your week.
Hi Francie Sweetie...
Oh I love your heart cakes, how beautiful they are with the touches of roses and butterflies, and glitter, oh and dragonflies as well. Can it get any better than that? I don't think so. They are so elegant and I love seeing them in the little white stands. How elegant they look. Just the right touch for the occasion.

Now Kitty B. look out there is a new gal named Francie in town and she has it all. Cakes and tea. I love, Love, LOVE that rose teacup and saucer. Oh I think I will sit down and join you for awhile. Do you think you could teach me to make a cake or two? So lovely.

Thank you for sharing today sweetie. I so enjoyed myself. Have a glorious Sunday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

That cup and saucer is exceptionally pretty, and the colors are perfect with the little cake before it, and I like dragon/damsel flies. I see you have made this into a candle like some of your others.
Yes, you may like your own creations - it just shows that you have good taste!

Such dainty choices. I'm beginning to like pink now!
Francie, you have got to show me pictures of your vintage decals, where did you find them? I have been looking forever! That is what made me start down the make your own decal sheets....Lucky you!!! I wish I had scanned a copy of my vintage decals before using them. You should do that, so you can make more with blank decal sheets.
