Pink Pink Pink Pink Vintage Pink !

Happy Pink Saturday !   Thought I would share some vintage pink ... this is a sweet travel kit that was never used.
I hope the woman who first purchased it just forgot to take it with her and still got to go on her journey.   I am thinking she was off to Paris and in her excitement she forgot to pack it.....
There is a pink stretch clothesline, two pink hanger clips and four packages of Celebrity Cel-Suds which are "A mild, safe detergent for quick, convenient laundering of nylon, silk, cotton and wool."
Pink Princess electric shaver , also 1960's vintage (umm which made me realize that I am vintage too !)

In good shape and still pretty in pink, hey ME TOO!
and last but not least this sweet vintage plate. I love the sentiment:

Guest you are Welcome, be at your ease...
Get up when you're ready,
go to bed when you please,
Happy to share with you such as we've got,
the leaks in the roof
and the soup in the pot.
You don't have to thank us or laugh at our jokes,
 sit deep and come often,
you're one of the folks.

Now some of you may wonder "what the heck is sit deep?"  Well now aren't you glad I'm a know-it-all?   Actually I know this from my years of horse riding...when you sit deep in your saddle you are balanced in it, firmly seated and you stay that way (hopefully).
See, you never know what you will find out from visiting  the pink links at  Beverly's Pink Saturday ...I'll be heading that way myself to visit all the pink perfection and see what new things I will learn, hope you will join me AND you know I appreciate your comments and I really appreciate your follow, I do try to reciprocate.  Happy Pink !

Oh girlfriend, you are so right. You just never know what you will find out when you visit Pink Saturday. I love the plate and had no idea, but......now I do!!
When we find treasures, it's fun to let our imaginations run away to places only we can think of.
Happy Pink Saturday, Char
I believe the lady traveler must have been very upset when she found her sweet kit missing. Did she drop it in her hotel or on the ocean liner? We'll never know. How lucky that you found it and treasure it.

That is a great pink treasure you have there! Happy Pink Saturday! I had one of those pink razors in the late 50's early 60's, made by Sunbeam. Loved that thing, my Dad bought it for me after catching me using his razor, you know the kind , they dial up to 9 and you cut your shin bone everytime! lol. Hugs Marilou

Love the old travel kit. I gave my son and his wife each very old travel kits I found in an antique mall for their Christmas presents. They are always so interesting and so nostalgic. The plate, too, is a real treasure. Liked learning about the “sitting deep.” Not he a horse rider I had no clue about it. HPS

Hey hey hey Francie...I am always late visiting for Pink Saturdays because most Saturdays are spent on the road. Found a fabulous cast metal wash stand yesterday. Will use it at the wedding party for something. :) Love all your pinks today especially that sweet pink travel kit. And only petting the horses but not riding them, I didn't know what sitting deep meant either. Great post. :) HPS xo

Love your vintage finds....I'm sure I had a shave like that when I went off to collage. I don't think it was pretty PINK, however!!

Love your sweet Wynona and her little kitty door!

Hope you had a great Pink Saturday! dana
Sweet pink post! I'm loving that pink princess shaver! Took me back to the time I received my first one. I was in 6th grade. Couldn't wait to shave my legs and now I hate it!

was just google-ing cel-suds and your site popped up.
i found a small packet of cel-suds in a house we bought recently. i kept it as it had a drawing of a fashionable lady walking from her sports car. i have that particular model of car so i will keep the packet in the car for show and tell.
