Liberty Angel

I've always loved the angels made out of found items and realized I had enough to make one. Started with a bedpost, added window frame(s) for wings, very old porch spindles for the arms, old wooden finials for the top and neck, light globe for the head. The vintage clock was perfect for a halo (not salvageable).  What you can't see are the many little stars all over her, I painted them the same color as the body part.
My BFF from waaaaaay up North said she looked like Lady Liberty so...here she is my Liberty Angel dedicated to the men and women who serve in our armed forces.

If you click the first photo  you can see our sweet Lovebug in the back under the right wing.

With her halo she is over 5' tall.  Added a round bottom :)) with some wheels and decked her out before loading her into the truck to take to my booth in Douglas, GA.
Visiting with Beverly at Pink Saturday .   Stop on by to see some lovely pinks.  Visiting Stacy at Show me What Ya Got    Love how she has separated by categories...this way if you just want to see crafts, home dec, or food you can go right tho them.  Pop over to Brown Gingham Creations  and Melodys' Rednesday for every shade of red. WhatsItWednesday at Ivy and Elephants is a not miss too !
Thank you for your visit and for your sweet comments. I really appreciate them and always try to return visits and follows.   Until next time, ya'll bee sweet (())

Hi Francie,

So sorry I haven't visited you in such a long time. Not intentional my sweet friend. I guess the days, months just went by too fast and here I am saying hello. Love the lady liberty. You always have the cutest things. I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying summer. I sure am! My kids are off from school and I have a bit more time to relax and create. Love it. Anyway have a great weekend and stop by when you get a chance and say hello.
xoxo
