A Christmas Eve Tale of Two Kitties

We had some wild kittens that would visit our back deck several months back. Ya'll know that Wailin' chose us as her family while a couple of the other wild kittens would not come near us. Soon there was only one other that would come onto our back deck to get some sun and relax but still runs when he sees us.

On Christmas Eve Wailin' , my Sweetie and I were upstairs in the den. We have a wrap around porch and the windows look out over the porch roof, on the side we have trees that grow up past the top roof. Wailin' was looking out the side window, she stood up and put her paws on the glass. I looked out to see what she was looking at, expecting to see a squirrel. Instead, there on the roof was her sibling, sitting down and looking in at her. I told my Sweetie to look...it was such a sweet sight. Then the visiting kitty turned around, jumped onto one of the trees and was gone. What a precious Christmas gift.

We would love to adopt this kitty too, but so far he will have nothing to do with us. Hopefully as time goes by we will gain his trust. Until then we have a lovely Christmas Eve memory.

My wish for you: May you have lovely, sweet memories to keep you warm throughout the year.
